Another question concerning scoring. I used TBB and tbb::concurrent_queue but I was awarded of 25 points instead of (25+5).

I suppose this is an error ?

On a vaguely related note, I received 5 points for elegance on the quicksort problem.

I don't want to be whiny, but is it possible this was a mistake? I don't think my solution was that bad, or inelegant. I recognize that elegance is subjective, and I don't want to start a discussion about what is, or is not. It just surprised me, since I thought mine was okay, and I actually had a nice bit where I made a recursive tail call optimization.

As a final note, it would be really nice if we could get some minor feedback on the elegance front, just so we can adapt ourselves to the aesthetics of the judges. It wouldn't need to be much, just something like:
+ efficient algorithm
+ simple form
- copy & paste coding
- cryptic names

After reading more, it seems only around twenty solutions actually 'worked' for this first problem set, and a score of 5/100 means you thought mine was one of the ugliest, which is, well, a little surprising and disappointing. I know you ran a bunch again, could you look very very briefly at mine and see if perhaps this was a typo? (Or was the score typical?)

Hi Ben,

   A maximum of 30 points (not 100) were given for ELEGANCE on the QUICKSORT problem set.   The details of the scoring criteria are actually posted on the problem description for this problem set, you may want to check it out.    And you're in good company -- about 12 other contestants scored in the same range as you for this criteria.
