is C#/.NET ok?

Are solutions in .NET/C# and possibly F# or other languages acceptable?

Re: is C#/.NET ok?

A C#/.NET solution will be accepted.  If you have a specific reliance on a particular version of the .NET Framework, you will need to state that clearly in your build instructions/environment.  I can't promise whether or not such a Framework will be available, but we will make reasonable efforts to have the requirements met.

If we can get a compiler/interpreter for F#, then that would be a viable solution, as well.  The same would apply to other languages.  We have access to the more popular compilers on Windows and Linux for C/C++, C#, Java, and Fortran.  Solutions that go beyond that will be considered, but may require the entrant to provide details on securing a development environment for the language the intend to use.  That is, if you want to submit your solutions in threaded LISP, you will need to let us know where we can get a (threaded) LISP interpreter.  Be aware that expenses will be sparse for such items, too.

I wonder if you used .NET/C# (or F#) for the quicksort challenge?

If so would you mind posting your experience, I'm curious to know what the pluses/minuses are.

Thanks!
