The Intel® Cluster Checker simplifies the task of checking and validating Intel® Cluster Ready certified clusters. Intel® Cluster Checker addresses the needs of cluster builders, programmers, and users by assessing a cluster’s construction, configuration, and performance. The checking procedures verify the cluster at the node and cluster-wide levels, looking for firmware, kernel, storage, and network settings known to slow down node performance and ensuring the cluster’s nodes are uniformly and optimally configured. High-level tests of node and network performance include MPI benchmarks (Intel® MPI Benchmarks), stream, and the HPC Challenge benchmark (HPCC). The Intel® Cluster Checker is extensible, from letting users customize tests by specifying command and expected output, and even integrating additional test via plug-ins.
